You can also reach the Service Desk by phone at 77777 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
Moreover, the Mac community at CERN has an active mailing list: firstname.lastname@example.org, where you can get expert opinions for some very specific questions. The archive of this mailing list is available at: https://groups.cern.ch/group/support-macosx/default.aspx.
The currently supported versions of macOS are 10.14 ("Mojave") and 10.15 ("Catalina"). If you are running any older version of macOS, you are encouraged to migrate to 10.14 as soon as possible. You may contact the Service Desk to assist you in the migration process. Before migrating to 10.14 check out the article "About macOS 10.14 Mojave". Before migrating to macOS 11 ("Big Sur") make sure to read the article "About macOS 11 Big Sur.
Mac users are responsible to regularly update the operating system and applications using update processes provided by software vendors and regularly save user data files to a centrally-supported network file system (DFS, EOS / cernbox).
