As an Identity and Access Management Systems Engineer, you will:

• Develop, review and plan computing infrastructure evolution and, in particular, validate requirements from around CERN (key stakeholders are HR, FAP-BC, Service Desk) and ensure they are supported by the systems;
• Architect and administer Microsoft Identity Manager for synchronisation between CERN systems (such as HR and individual computing resource providers), as well as migrate out of Forefront Identity Manager;
• Develop software applications and in particular:
  • enhance the API (in C#) that will be responsible for the bulk of account lifecycle management;
  • contribute to account management tools to be used by Admins, the Service Desk and Security team;
  • Contribute to the section’s other services where possible/necessary.

Experience

In particular we are interested in profiles with the following experience:

• Proven experience architecting complex systems with multiple dependencies
• Initial experience in Microsoft FIM or MIM
• Demonstrated experience in API development (particularly C#)
• Demonstrated experience validating requirements
• Demonstrated experience performing user support
• Existing knowledge of CERN’s accounts systems and HR is a strong plus

Technical competencies

• Development of application software – full stack development
• Re-use, refactoring, integration and porting of existing software
• Installation, operation and maintenance (preventive and corrective) of computing systems
• Capturing and analysis of requirements for ICT systems
• Knowledge of best practices for developing secure software
